The easy trail: Victoria Park / Stampede
The clearest transit access belongs to the two casinos in the Victoria Park area, near Stampede Park. Both are close to Victoria Park / Stampede CTrain station. The station name appears on Calgary Transit's station maps.
Elbow River Casino describes the station as a stone's throw away, about a block. It does not publish a distance in metres. The casino sits at the corner of 17th Avenue SE and Macleod Trail, and its floor opens at 9:30 a.m. every day, according to its gaming page.
Cowboys Casino also uses Victoria Park / Stampede as its nearest station. Neither the venue nor Calgary Transit publishes the walking distance, so check the walk on a map before you set out. The area gets busy during the Calgary Stampede.
Where the venues say little
ACE Casino Blackfoot says only that it is easily reached by private vehicle and public transit. Its site names no station and no routes.
PURE Casino Calgary, in northeast Calgary, and Grey Eagle Resort & Casino, on Tsuut'ina Nation, publish no transit directions in the sources this guide relies on. Bus routes do appear on unofficial listings, but route numbers change. This guide does not repeat them as fact.
For all three, use Calgary Transit's own trip planning and maps. Check before you leave, not at the door.
Plainly car-only, or close to it
Century Downs Racetrack & Casino is in Rocky View, outside Calgary city limits. No published transit route was found. Treat it as a car, taxi or rideshare destination.
ACE Casino Airport is off Deerfoot Trail and Airport Trail, next to the Clique Hotel, and describes itself as near YYC. It advertises more than 800 parking stalls and publishes no transit details. Deerfoot Inn & Casino in the far southeast also publishes none. Plan both as driving or ride trips unless Calgary Transit's planner shows a workable route.

Getting home late
Many casino floors stay open until 3 a.m. or later, and some run around the clock. Transit does not always run that late. This guide does not have Calgary Transit's service hours on record. Check last-train and last-bus times on Calgary Transit before you go. If you would rather travel in daylight, see Morning hours.
Deciding on a leaving time in advance also helps you keep to a time limit. If gambling has stopped feeling like a choice, call or text 211, or call the Addiction Helpline (Recovery Alberta) at 1-866-332-2322, any hour. More on Play safe.
